It is estimated that 1,100 people have been diagnosed with cancer in the Region in 2008 with 8,000 in treatment and approximately 15,300 people visiting out patient clinics. Your decision to participate in Portstock 2010 will have a great impact on the lives of these people and those in our community, possibly even affecting someone close to your heart. With your help, we can reach our fundraising goals. The future Walker Family Cancer Centre will be a comprehensive cancer care facility that will serve all the residents of Niagara and bring much-needed services closer to home so Niagara citizens can receive as much care within the region as possible. Having these services closer to home was a need Mike recognized as he traveled to Hamilton while going through his own treatment.
